Overview
NORTHEAST DELTA HUMAN SERVICES AUTHORITY MISSION:
Serve as a catalyst for individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disorders to help them realize their full human potential by offering quality, excellent care with greater accessibility. Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking an Administrative Coordinator 3-4 to work as part of a treatment team to provide quality care and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health (mental health or substance use) and physical health treatment.
The incumbent independently performs duties requiring a broad knowledge of several clerical fields to assist the administrative team with all assigned duties. An ideal candidate will possess the following competencies.

- Thinking Critically: Ability to analyze information objectively, identify connections across sources, and form logical, well-supported conclusions. Successful Behaviors: analyzes key information, weighs evidence, and draws logical conclusions from credible sources.
- Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.
Job Duties:
- Establishes fees for new consumers and updates fee information as needed in accordance with agency guidelines. Enters information in the electronic health record related to income, benefits, and dependents. Reassesses and updates fees when necessary and obtains necessary information and proof of verification to update charts.
- Completes verification of insurance benefits daily and assists the team with issues concerning insurance verification.
- Verifies and documents Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance coverages; this includes scanning insurance cards into the electronic health record. Assists with accepting payments, documenting on a daily cash log, and making deposits when other staff are unavailable.
- Independently composes letters/emails to answer routine correspondence, screens mail and telephone calls, and disseminates to appropriate staff. Assists with scheduling appointments for both new and established consumers, completes related phone calls, and provides front desk coverage when staff are absent or on a rotating basis.
- Keeps all consumer records current using LDH policy for open/closed cases, including strict adherence to policies related to criteria for services and confidentiality/disposal of records.
- Assists consumers with completing the Medicaid applications process. Assists with maintaining and submitting state vehicle logs and voter registration documentation.
- Completes inventories of supplies and assists Property Control Manager with maintaining inventory of movable property and annual property inventory.

Location: Monroe Behavior Health Clinic
Compensation: NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans. 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000
* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians. (Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
