JobPurpose
Support the pharmacy team to consistently deliver operational and service excellence within the store. As a Pharmacy Technician you will be the first point of contact for patients and customers, assist in accurate prescription fulfillment, and provide compassionate care that exceeds patient expectations while adhering to all company SOPs, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Execute pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Show empathy and genuine care to create heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and other services; solve or elevate patient problems.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting‑bin inventories, and medication delivery put‑away.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills, seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical expertise.
- Adapt to scheduling and business needs; voluntarily travel within the market to support business.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations, and CVS policies regarding patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, record‑keeping, and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, off‑site clinics) where legally permissible and supported by required training.
- State board of pharmacy licensure or certification requirements for pharmacy technicians (or equivalent high school diploma and age 16+ when not mandated by state).

- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong focus and attention to detail; ability to pivot quickly from one task to another.
- Customer service and team orientation – actively help people in a friendly manner and respond appropriately to patient reactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication – active listening and clear expression.
- Mathematical reasoning – determine total tablets, full bottles, and additional bottles to fill a prescription.
- Problem resolution – identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical demands – mobile, lift up to 20 lbs, repetitive finger work, reach overhead, and maintain precision when operating machines.
- 1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
Hourly $16.50 – $25.00
HoursPart‑time – 20 hours per week
