Coed Middle School Soccer Coach
We are pleased to announce the opening for the position of Coed Middle School Soccer Coach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for the sport, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment for all student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the coed middle school soccer team, providing instruction in the fundamentals of the game.
- Develop and implement practice plans and strategies to enhance team performance and competitiveness.
- Promote sportsmanship, mutual respect, and teamwork among players, coaching staff, and spectators.
- Ensure that all athletes maintain a high standard of academic achievement and behavior.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe team environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Collaborate effectively with school staff, including administration, teachers, and maintenance/custodial staff.
- Coaching experience in soccer is highly preferred.
- Strong skills in team organization, game strategy, and teaching soccer fundamentals.
- Ability to encourage healthy competition while promoting sportsmanship and appropriate conduct among players and staff.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
- A commitment to supporting academic growth and character development in student-athletes.
- Must hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must complete Concussion Awareness Training.
- Must undergo and pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by the State of Michigan.
- Must comply with all MHSAA and Monroe Public Schools athletic policies, including student eligibility, supervision protocols, and code of conduct standards.
