The Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is committed to protecting the public by providing safe and effective individualized services to youth, who will become productive, law‑adhering citizens.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker 6‑B to provide advanced clinical services to youth in custody. This position involves direct therapeutic care, case management, and coordination of treatment plans in a secure care or residential setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, a trauma‑informed approach, and a deep commitment to youth rehabilitation.

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:

• A master’s degree in social work followed by five years of social services experience.

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family counseling
• Collaborate with facility staff, families, and external agencies to support youth development
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and agency policies
• Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
