Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is hiring General Maintenance Technicians to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial equipment across Walmart stores. The role involves developing preventative maintenance schedules, completing PMs, and training store associates on equipment care.

• Perform minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and routine maintenance schedules, documenting required written and electronic information.

• Have previous maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment, etc.).
• Understand the importance of customer service and communicate respectfully.
• Drive personal accountability and use effective time management to meet commitments.
• Adapt to changing demands using solid judgment to prioritize.
• Believe in servant leadership and work as a team to achieve goals.

• 3‑year experience in maintenance.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR report.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
