Overview
Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Monroe Metro) - Direct Auto Insurance. The role is part of Direct Auto Insurance, an Allstate business within National General Holdings Corp.
Responsibilities- Drive new business sales and grow and retain your book of business within the market/retail location.
- Attract and generate new customers and cross-sell existing customers across product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance.
- Sell to walk-in customers and market products outside the office via marketing calls and in-person visits to create community relationships and promote growth.
- Manage customer interactions in the office and support the sales process in collaboration with Direct Sales Leadership to achieve production and growth goals.
- Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports where applicable.
- Remain current on underwriting guidelines, announcements, and policy changes.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- P&C licensing (preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.
- Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products; meets and exceeds sales goals.
- Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintains a physical presence in the community to generate referrals (car dealerships, events, organizations, etc.).
- Initiates outbound calls to a target customer base and monitors local market competitors to improve positioning.
- Works with sales leadership to plan and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve goals; delivers results across quality, productivity, and compliance metrics.
- Understands underwriting guidelines and stays informed on policy updates.
- Receives payments, issues receipts, and verifies reports for cash drawers.
- Unlicensed Candidates:
Base compensation $17.00 per hour, based on experience. - Licensed Candidates (licensed to sell Auto or P&C):
Base compensation $20.00 per hour, based on active required license and minimum 6 months of P&C sales experience. - Total compensation may include incentive pay (commissions and bonuses) based on individual and team performance.
