Job Description

We are currently seeking a full‑time PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. As a Preoperative and PACU RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through the perioperative process, from pre‑operative assessment to post‑anesthesia care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions throughout the perioperative period.
  • Provide post‑anesthesia care in the PACU, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Assess and manage pain, nausea, and other post‑operative symptoms.
  • Ensure patient and family education regarding post‑operative care.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic health records (EHR).

Required Skills
  • Current RN license in the state of Louisiana.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience; perioperative or PACU experience preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
