Production Manager, Operations Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging) including planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources. Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others, mobilizing resources.
- Lead two or more direct reports, monitoring and achieving operational and/or financial results for area of responsibility.
- Handle people‑management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
- Coach and address performance‑related issues following progressive discipline for safety, quality, performance, training, and attendance.
- Supervise entry‑level or semi‑skilled hourly employees such as production, craft, and clerical workers.
- Coordinate resources and set daily priorities for the team to ensure task completion and operational objectives are met.
- Understand and apply established procedures and full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.
- Monitor daily operations of a unit or sub‑unit.
- Use judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems.
- Apply operational business practices and coordinate with other closely related areas to improve efficiency.
- Direct operations of work units, assigning tasks according to schedules and deliverables and reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
- Make decisions that directly impact work‑unit operations, recognizing that errors or failures to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.
- Interact daily with subordinates or peers within similar or related functions primarily for presenting and exchanging information.
- Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required in lieu of a degree.

Pay Range: $71,250.00 - $95,000.00
