Certification Details
- Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record physiological, pathological, and anatomical data.
- Produces ultrasound images to aid in diagnosis of medical problems.
- Monitors and ensures safety of patient and staff.
- Performs patient screening using established protocols.
- Operates equipment safely according to departmental policy.
- Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family.
- Evaluates competency level of others as preceptor.
- Reports to Supervisor or Manager.

- BLS (AHA or ARC) required for onboarding.
- ARDMS certification required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography Registry required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS 1 Specialty Registries required for onboarding.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccine or exemption accepted.
- MMR immunization or positive titer or declination required for onboarding.
- Fit Test (N95 mask fit) must be completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually.
- Hepatitis B immunization or positive titer or declination required for onboarding.
- Influenza vaccine required for onboarding with medical or religious exemptions accepted.
- TB Test (Quanti
FERON Blood Test within one year prior to start OR 2-Step TB Skin Test) required for onboarding. - Health Statement signed and dated within 1 year of start stating ability to work without restrictions required for onboarding.
- Varicella immunization or positive titer or declination required for onboarding.
- Tdap vaccination within past 10 years or declination required for onboarding.
- Annual TB Questionnaire required within 6 months of start.
- FMOLHS Criminal Background Check Results required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Drug Screen (Negative 10 Panel within 30 days prior to start) required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Skills Checklist updated annually and within one year prior to start required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Competency Exam with passing score of 80% or higher within year of start required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Core Competencies updated annually with passing score of 80% or higher required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Badge Photo required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Contract Annual Education Packet required for onboarding.
- FMOLHS Eye Exam & Color Vision (Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test) within 1 year prior to start required for onboarding.
