Water Treatment Operator

A municipal water treatment facility in Louisiana is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to manage the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of systems utilizing pressure filtration and reverse osmosis (RO) processes. This role ensures treated water meets all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements while maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

$33.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Full‑time position, 12‑hour shifts (7 days on, 7 days off, night shift). Consultants are paid 1.5× overtime for hours above 40 hrs/week.

Operate pressure filtration and RO processes to ensure treated water meets all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements while maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Water Treatment Operator certification
• Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment (experience with chemical systems, pressure filters, groundwater, or reverse osmosis strongly preferred)
• Flexible for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on‑call work
• Valid driver’s license
• Additional stipends given for long commute to worksite location
