Job Responsibilities- Set up of equipment including the drill, water tanks, and grounding of the machine.
- Operate drilling equipment and various other construction equipment.
- Confirm with locator or leads the bore path to drill.
- Drilling of the predetermined path to the exit point.
- Continue communication with the locator to confirm the location of the drill head.
- Assist in potholing and remediation.
- Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins.
- Assist with the installation of proper pulling gear and hook-up product.
- Conduct post-job quality checks.
- All responsibilities will be performed in standard and high-risk areas.
- If appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the Jobsite to complete daily work assignments.
- Maintain, clean, and inspect company vehicles and equipment assigned for use to ensure they are performing at optimum safety.
- Perform required pre-and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment and complete required paperwork.
- Comply with safety procedures while driving and at the job site.
- Perform other general duties, as directed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to comply with the “Operator’s Manual” for equipment and vehicles used.
- Ability to understand and follow all quality/safety policies and procedures.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class
A) with a satisfactory driving record. - Self‑motivated, safe, quality, and production‑minded.
- Ability to work and communicate as part of a team with ground hands and other craft and labor workers.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to travel for remote business requirements within Oregon, Idaho, and Washington.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willing to perform work to support the values and goals of the Company.

- At least 1 year of directional drilling experience.
- Ability to drill predetermined path to exit point.
- Ability to pothole.
- Ability to assist with hand holes.
- Ability to conduct post‑job quality checks.
- Experience completing tie‑ins.
- Experience pulling gear and hooking up products.
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities.
- Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and construction practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Lift moderately heavy equipment, such as telephone line; climb structures; and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders).
- Climb up and down poles, ladders, machinery, and other objects.
- Push, pull, reach, and carry objects such as tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Load and unload tools and equipment on the truck.
- Coordinate movement of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet.
- Vision including depth perception, close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
- All work is performed at remote locations; driving and sitting are required.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions – heat, cold, snow, ice, rain, etc.
- Ability to work long hours, if needed.
