As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be responsible for spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, airport terminals, baggage areas, parking lots, gatehouses, and other airport facilities.

Responsibilities for Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.

Qualifications for Security Guard

• Experience in security patrols and monitoring.
• Strong customer service skills and public interaction experience.
• Experience in parking enforcement or by-law compliance.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Department of Transportation).
• Valid Driver’s License and Valid Driver’s Abstract.
• Clean Criminal Record.
• Valid security licence.
• Advanced First Aid with AED certification and CPR certification.
