Position Overview:
The Customer Service Planner plays a critical role in coordinating and executing project activities to ensure successful equipment installations and removals. This position is responsible for managing project schedules, arranging logistics such as trucking and crane services, and ensuring timely equipment delivery. The role requires strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, architects, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
The Customer Service Planner also prepares and reviews CAD drawings, maintains accuracy in construction plans, and utilizes internal systems such as JDE and Initial Impressions to support project execution. This is an on‑site role based in Huntsville, AL, with up to 25% domestic travel.
Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project related activities to a specific project date.
Schedule trucking and cranes for the installation and removal projects
Ensure equipment delivery timing for the installation process
Arrange, identify, and order required equipment order using JDE inventory system
Effectively use Initial Impressions software to review for new installations coming up in the schedule
Preparing CAD drawings based on specifications and collaborating with architects or engineers.
Reviewing designs for accuracy and adjusting construction plans as needed.
Collaborating with team members to ensure project objectives and details are met.
Position could require up to 25% domestic travel.
Position must work in the Huntsville, AL location.
Qualifications:
Must be professional, mature, and responsible
Possess and demonstrate a mechanical aptitude
Highly organized and detailed with work, work practices, and habits.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company
Able to prioritize and drive to a deadline
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as speaking with suppliers and customers on the phone
AutoCAD experience preferred
