Contracts & Procurement Specialist

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialist in the oil & gas industry in Saint John, New Brunswick.

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations across multiple business units.

• $75.00 - $85.00 hourly
• * Please note that the rates indicated are intended for consultants engaged by their Ltd. or Inc. entities.
• 12-month contract
• Preferred rates for benefit coverage available

• Support identifying and implementing negotiating, savings, and related sourcing strategies
• Understand demand patterns to influence efficiencies through standardization
• Draft contractual agreements and support negotiations of GSA’s, MSA’s, and other agreements
• Field level management of contracts and supplier relationships. Identify external and internal stakeholders and engage them in all activities
• Effectively manage procurement cycles to align with project schedules
• Support supplier consolidation activities. Support Internal Total Cost of Ownership reduction initiatives

• 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management within the energy or oil and gas sector
• Post-secondary education in business, engineering, supply chain, logistics or equivalent experience
• Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an asset
• Effective communications skills
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills
• Understanding of legal concepts related to contracts, including legal terminology and how to draft, review, and interpret contract terms and conditions would be an asset.
