The Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division aims to be the global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems and components for aerospace/defense and industrial applications.
Position SummaryResponsible for supporting or performing a variety of Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), X-Ray, and Visual Testing (VT) inspections based on qualifications. This will include reading, interpreting, and understanding appropriate drawings, procedures, and instructions. This role is for 2nd shift but may require training on 1st shift.
Responsibilities- Following established procedures, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
- Perform routine maintenance on radiography and FPI equipment as needed
- Work with other technicians to improve processes and reduce waste in the value stream
- Assist in scheduling workload of X-ray, FPI, and VT operations
- Work with floor supervisors to help establish production routines
- Ensure work instructions and inspection techniques are being followed
- Operate X-ray machines, FPI booths, and borescopes as required in support of preparing parts and images for Level II interpretation
- Read and understand part drawings and specifications associated with NDT
- Learn/perform basic computer operations
- Work closely with the engineering group and weld and braze specialists
- May be asked to cross-train in other areas to support production
- May be required to lift up to 35 lbs
- Perform other duties as requested
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and understand instructions, procedures, and drawings.
- Computer literacy required. Must be able to enter quality data into the Division database.
- Must possess good judgmental factors, demonstrated manual dexterity, and a willingness to learn.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and be willing to work effectively as a participative team member.
- Accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
- A good working knowledge of welding, heat treating and brazing is a plus.
- Good knowledge of machining and assembly procedures is a plus.
- Experience in Radiography and/or FPI is preferred
- NAS
410 Certified in PT and/or RT is preferred - ASNT TC1A Certified in Visual Testing is preferred
- Ability to pass vision exam is required
