Seabulk Operator

Description

The Seabulk Operator is responsible for the installation of seabulk liners and assisting in the loading of seabulk containers. Their foremost duty is to ensure all tasks related to loading are performed safely, both for themselves and their coworkers. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and efficient execution of loading procedures to meet quality and operational targets.

• Properly install seabulk liners.
• Communicate when containers have liners installed for relocation to the truck scale for loading.
• Clean transfer equipment as needed.
• Connect transfer hoses to the correct railcar compartment for unloading, ensuring proper catch pans, hose stands, and filtration.
• Insert and secure the stinger into the seabulk liner.
• Adjust the stinger as the container fills to ensure proper loading.
• Secure the liner once loading is complete.
• Maintain cleanliness in the seabulk area throughout the shift.
• Report any spills or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Identify operational controls to ensure safety, quality, environmental, and production targets are met.

• Strong commitment to safety, reporting unsafe conditions as needed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and quality-conscious work approach.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to properly install both 20’ and 40’ seabulk liners.
• Experience in seabulk loading procedures.
• Quality control expertise.
• Knowledge of different resin grades to prevent cross-contamination.
• Ability to work in an open environment, including inclement weather.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays based on customer demand.
