Overview
West Law Firm is seeking a highly detail-oriented Data & Settlement Specialist to support our personal injury team. This position reports directly to the Finance Director. This role is responsible for ensuring that case information is entered accurately and consistently across our systems while assisting with the identification and resolution of liens related to client cases. This person will also be responsible for the finalization of the settlement statement, ensuring all financial information, liens, and case details are accurate prior to disbursement.
The right candidate understands that accurate data is critical to the success of a case. Every number, document, and entry matters. This position requires someone who takes pride in precision, organization, and maintaining clean, reliable records that our legal team can depend on.
While this role involves data entry, it plays an important part in the success of our cases. Accurate data, properly resolved liens, and well-prepared settlement statements directly impact case outcomes and client results.
Responsibilities- Enter, review, and maintain case information in the firm’s systems, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and well-organized so the legal team can easily access the information they need.
- Identify, track, and assist with the resolution of liens related to client cases (medical providers, insurance, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.).
- Communicate with lienholders by phone and email to request balances, verify lien details, and follow up on outstanding documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of lien balances, communications, and updates within the firm’s systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to review and verify large amounts of information carefully
- Highly organized with strong record-keeping skills
- Comfortable working with databases and case management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining precision

- Naturally spots inconsistencies or missing information and takes initiative to correct them
- Prefers structured work that requires focus and precision, and is comfortable reviewing documents and verifying information
This role is expected to be primarily in our Moncks Corner office. After an initial training period and demonstrated performance, a hybrid schedule may be considered.
Salary$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and whether the role is structured as full-time or contract.
