Flow Iron Technician

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for various duties including but not limited to the operational integrity, inventory control, maintenance, purchase, repair and documentation of high‑pressure flow iron equipment. The ultimate objective of this entry‑level position is to ensure that all flow iron equipment is maintained in safe working condition and complies with all manufacturing and customer specifications. Will perform duties in compliance with established industry standards and according to company practices.

• Must perform all duties in a safe manner, observing safe work practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment at all times
• Perform inspection, cleaning, visual, UT measurement, Gauging and Mag Particle Inspections as well as Hydrostatic Pressuring Testing of iron assets to Graco standards
• Rebuild and repair iron assets to manufacturers specifications and Graco standards
• Accurately record serial number and inspection results, band flow iron as directed
• Operate Forklifts to move equipment or materials to and from storage/repair area, load and unload semi‑truck trailers
• Will be on call on an as needed basis, travel out of town is expected when needed
• Communicate well with Shop Foreman and with fellow team members
• Perform hands on mechanical functions; grinding, cleaning, repairs, valve rebuilding
• Completely understands and follows operating and safety procedures
• Position requires mostly day time work but can involve night time and overtime as needed
• Performs other duties within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• High School Diploma
• One to three years prior experience rebuilding high pressure flow iron and valves
• Welding experience is not required but is beneficial
• Must be able to read and write clearly, and have basic computer skills
• Must promote a positive, safe work environment and be a team player
• Very good hands on mechanical abilities
• Must be willing to submit to and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
