Job Summary

RN Clinic‑Oncology Clinic at UnityPoint Health. Sign‑On Bonus $5,000 for External Candidates. Oncology Clinic. 1st Shift Hours (32 hours per week).

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates competence in the necessary skills (critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical) to carry out assigned duties.
  • Recognizes and responds to patients’ physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs, evaluating them in relation to the patient populations served.
  • Assesses comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation, completes needed assessments and collaborates with physicians & providers.
  • Encourages feedback from the patient, families/significant others, peers, and other disciplines regarding perception of care and utilizes it to improve patient care practices.
  • Acts as resource person in the subspecialty of medical oncology.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and answers patient questions.
  • Confirms scheduled appointments.
  • Projects positive, flexible attitude and communications in order to meet patient’s needs.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • License(s)/Certification(s):
    Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois; licensure in good standing;
    Oncology Certification preferred;
    Current CPR Certification;
    Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work‑related reasons.
