Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm or 5:00pm - 1:30am, Mon-Fri
On-Call every 5th weekend & holidays
In this highly impactful position, you will play a critical role in patient safety by performing decontamination, disinfection, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of reusable medical instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities- Ensure safe handling of items through decontamination process according to policy and procedure
- Ensure vendor compliance for delivery and packaging of equipment/instrumentation
- Processing all equipment/instrumentation from all campuses, and offsite ancillary departments
- Ensure all safety measures taken with regard to policy and procedure
- Disassemble items for cleaning and sterilizing; reassembling cleaned and sterilized items
- Complete tray assembly inclusive of inventory, inspection, assembly and containment
- Complete sterilization process according to policy and procedure
- Transport completed instrumentation to defined storage locations within the operating room
- Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.
- Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
- 1 year prior experience in Central Services/Central Supply preferred.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification to be obtained within 1 year of start date.
Other:
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs repetitively.
- This role will require you to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time.
- This role will require travel to our Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline locations as needed each shift, at times mid-shift.
