Director of Rehab DOR Job Summary

Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of high-quality long-term care and rehabilitation services, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Rehab (DOR) to join our dynamic team in East Moline, Illinois. As a key member of our leadership team, the DOR will be responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation department, ensuring the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative leadership and strategic direction to the rehabilitation department, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services to meet the needs of our residents, with a focus on physical, occupational, and speech therapy
  • Collaborate with the medical staff, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of rehabilitation therapists, including physical, occupational, and speech therapists
  • Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies, physician offices, and other external partners to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor and report on departmental operations, including budget, staffing, and quality metrics
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field
  • Minimum 0 years of experience as a Director of Rehab or in a senior leadership role in rehabilitation
  • Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Physical Therapist (PT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in staff supervision and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and customer service
