RFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943. Our work includes concept development, product design, documentation, problem-solving, simulation, optimization, and testing of components, systems and complete machines. Our engineering staff is located at our Engineering Center in Minneapolis, branch office in Dubuque, IA, and at numerous customer sites throughout the U.S.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and own the overall software test strategy and validation plans based on system requirements.
Collaborate with system engineering and global teams to translate requirements into structured, traceable test plans.
Lead validation activities across SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level environments.
Optimize regression testing logistics to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Evaluate and enhance test environment capabilities in partnership with infrastructure teams.
Execute verification testing on pre-production software and hardware.
Create detailed test cases for manual and automated execution.
Document and track software defects in ADO, including CAN logs and supporting diagnostic data.
Communicate test progress, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders.
Travel up to 25% to support on-site testing activities.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Software, or Agricultural Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience in software test planning, validation, and quality assurance.
Familiarity with SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level test environments.
Ability to interpret software requirements and technical documentation.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred ExperienceAgricultural or off-road equipment knowledge.
CAN communication and log analysis.
Python or other scripting experience for test automation.
Understanding of embedded systems, controllers, sensors, and vehicle electronics.

Pay Range: $65,000-$90,000 – Commensurate with experience
