Engineering Instructor; Electrical Track; TT

Black Hawk College seeks a full-time, tenure-track Instructor of Engineering (Electrical Track) for the  school year. Classroom instruction will take place at the Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL.

The faculty member is expected to:

• Prepare appropriate syllabi and develop lectures, discussions, and activities to enhance students' educational experience.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain instructional materials and equipment essential for classroom presentation.

• Bachelor’s degree and 2,000 documented hours of related experience in an engineering technology field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Experiential requirements include 2 years of hands-on experience with programmable control instruments, industrial electrical maintenance, electronic assembly, quality control, or process control in an integrated Mechatronic discipline.
• Demonstrate understanding of circuit concepts and control system principles.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics, process loop diagrams, and P&.
• Perform system assembly, fault diagnosis, repair, calibration, and control tuning.
• Instruct on analog and digital circuits in a laboratory environment.
• Calibrate and operate common closed-loop systems with electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-mechanical instruments.
• Perform microcontroller programming and I/O interfacing (e.g., 8051, PIC, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
• Apply IIoT concepts and J1939 CANbus operations in coursework.
