General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks a temporary (one-term) full-time Economics Instructor for Fall 2026 semester to teach classes in Economics. This is an in-person position at our Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL that will also instruct online courses.
Description of DutiesFaculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops, and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students’ performance; develops, secures, and maintains the instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & ExperienceM.A. or Ph.D. in Economics is required. In-person and online teaching experience in Economics preferred. Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Full-time faculty have a base contract of 9 months and are paid over 12 months per year. Base load is based on 30 equated hours per academic year.
Starting salary is commensurate with education and experience. Minimum starting salary for full-time faculty is $50,036.00 for the academic year, but may be subject to change.
