The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is seeking to hire a Conservation Education Representative (CER) located at Riverside Park. Under general supervision of site staff, the CER will possess and handle live fish and bait in an interactive fishing clinic designed to instill an appreciation and understanding of conservation ethics, sport fishing techniques and tackle, fish ecology and identification; gather data and assemble information;

compose newspaper and magazine releases interpreting the Urban Fishing Program activities. We welcome qualified applicants who would like to be part of this team to apply today.

• Under general direction of the Northwestern Illinois Urban Fishing Program Manager, develops and executes the Conservation Education Program for the Urban Fishing Program in Rock Island County.
• Serves as program liaison with media outlets.
• Participates in staff meetings relating to the development and presentation of education and information material.
• Interprets and promotes the Urban Fishing Program's services and activities.
• Develops and establishes new and more effective methods of clinic instructions.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
