Adjunct Faculty - Court Reporting Instructor

Overview

Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/part-time instructors for the new Court Reporting program. Classes will be in the evenings.

• Prepare appropriate syllabi
• Develop lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience
• Execute appropriate methods of evaluating students performance
• Develop, secure, and maintain the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material

• Registered Professional Reporter, Certified Realtime Reporter, Certified Realtime Captioner, Certified Shorthand Reporter, or equivalent.
• Three years of professional reporter experience required.
• Current membership and participation in an education association or professional organization required.
• Oral English proficiency required.

• Minimum starting pay (Fall 2024)
• Less Than a Master's Degree: $693.36 per equated hour
• Master's Degree: $808.92 per equated hour
• Doctorate: $866.70 per equated hour
