Due to a retirement, Roseneath Medical Practice are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, capable and friendly receptionist to join our busy reception team.
Prior GP reception experience would be advantageous but training will be given and we would welcome applications from those with reception experience gained from outside primary care.
The successful applicant will be a team player who is able to work with the GPs, nurses, admin team and other receptionists in order to help our patients with their needs and should have a hands on, can do attitude.
We are looking for someone to work 26 hours per week, a full day Monday along with Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
We intend to hold interviews on one or both of Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th February.
Main duties of the job- Answering telephone calls
- Greet patients and deal with their enquiries face to face at the desk
- Produce prescriptions and send for approval
- Entering information into patients notes
- Processing eConsult requests from patients
- Work to reception protocols and procedures (adhere to patient confidentiality)
- Other admin tasks as required, for example printing blood forms, handling new patient registration forms
Roseneath is a partnership of 6 GPs who are supported by a salaried GP, ANP and team of nurses along with reception and admin teams, a Practice Manager and Deputy Practice Manager.
Many of our staff are long tenured and we regularly receive applications from staff working at other surgeries, which hopefully indicates that we are seen as a great place to work for those wanting to work in primary care. Our reception is busy throughout the day so if you are looking for a challenging but rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
Primary care continues to evolve and we now operate a full patient triage service that ensures patients are seen based on medical need. Last August, we went live with electronic prescribing, meaning we no longer rely on paper prescriptions. The successful applicant will play a pivotal part in the experience of our patients.
NHS Pension available (employees contribute as well as Roseneath)
Job responsibilitiesThe purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth, efficient running of the surgery by assisting the GPs to provide a service to our patients. The post holder will work under the indirect supervision of the senior receptionist and undertake duties as delegated. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients whilst adhering to policy and procedures.
