General
Summary:
The main purpose of the Freight Receiver/Returns Receiver is to unload trucks with a forklift, count and check‑in freight, fill out receiving documents, and distribute freight in warehouse.
Essential Job Functions:
- Unload trucks with forklift
- Count and check‑in freight
- Fill out receiving documents
- Distribute freight in respective areas in warehouse in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled in oral expression—communicating information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Skilled in oral comprehension —listening to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Skilled using a PC and familiar with Microsoft Office
- Abilities: a) Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. b) Multilimb Coordination — The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
c) Near Vision — The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). d) Trunk Strength — The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing. e) Must be able to read English, recognize numbers, and select the appropriate product to fill orders. - Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
License and
Certifications:
- Forklift and/or manual and electric pallet jack experience a plus
