Join the Enterprise Supervision team at Tyler Technologies as a Software Engineer with Dev Ops expertise! We're looking for a passionate developer who can bridge the gap between software development and operational excellence. In this role, you'll design and implement robust Git Hub CI/CD pipelines while contributing to our AWS-native, event-driven application architecture. You'll play a crucial part in modernizing our deployment practices, automating infrastructure, and building scalable solutions that empower our clients and support mission‑critical outcomes.

Note:
This is a hybrid position which requires the candidate to come into the Plano office 3x per week.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Git Hub Actions CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications across multiple environments.
  • Architect and implement deployment strategies including blue‑green deployments, canary releases, and automated rollbacks.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Cloud Formation, AWS SAM, or Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources.
  • Build and optimize containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms (ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes).
  • Design and develop scalable, event‑driven applications using AWS‑native services, including API Gateway, Event Bridge, Step Functions, Lambda, and SQS.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Cloud Watch, X‑Ray, and other tools to ensure system health and performance.
  • Automate security scanning, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to establish Dev Ops best practices, coding standards, and deployment workflows.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications, resolving bugs and improving performance, security, and deployment efficiency.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration across internal and external services.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
  • Mentor team members on Dev Ops practices, CI/CD patterns, and infrastructure automation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building SaaS or web‑based applications with strong Dev Ops practices.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Git Hub Actions.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS services and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Cloud Formation, Terraform, or AWS SAM).
  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Web Components (e.g., Lit).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation.
  • Experience with version control strategies, branching models, and Git Ops workflows.
  • Strong working knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools in cloud environments.
  • Understanding of security best practices in CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex deployment issues.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS for container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of advanced Git Hub Actions features including custom actions, reusable workflows, and self‑hosted runners.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure testing tools (e.g., Terratest, Local Stack).
