Job SummaryThe electronic promotions specialist is the subject‑matter expert and administrator of electronic promotions that support weekly merchandising ads, monthly savings books, loyalty marketing, marketing promotions, and gift‑card promotions. The promotion specialist creates all electronic promotions in AMS (Advance Marketing System Application), tests all promotions in a register lab environment, and deploys all promotions to the stores so they perform as intended at the register during the promotional period.
The position supports training associates on the electronic promotional process, maintaining training documents, and standard operation procedures. The role requires a specialised skill set that understands promotional pricing, promotional programming in AMS, and promotional execution at the register point‑of‑sale system.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Review all electronic promotion requests for accuracy and timeliness
- Create, build, test, and deploy to stores all electronic promotions to support merchandising weekly ads (Super Coupons, Bogo’s, Limits, Buy X and Receive Y, Stacked Promotions, % Discounts)
- Create, build, test and deploy to stores all electronic marketing promotions (new movers, competitive response, fresh & bright, community events)
- Create, build, test and deploy all customer loyalty engagement promotions (point redemption, point offerings, and free items for loyalty customers)
- Create, build, test, and deploy all gift‑card promotions
- Review all print ads to ensure electronic promotions are accurately set up and deployed to the stores
- Build and test new promotions that have never been executed before to ensure they can be executed at the point of sale
- Execute daily corrections with emergency same‑day batches for promotional accuracy
- Anticipate, prevent, analyse, and resolve electronic promotion system issues
- Ensure all processes are clearly documented with specifications and workflows
- Create regular informational communications and emergency alerts
- Perform other duties as assigned

Hiring pay range: $25.29 – $29.45
Requirements (Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
)
- Knowledge of AMS Promotional Pricing Application development
- Knowledge of HQ Item Master Pricing System
- Point of Sale/Register knowledge for promotional testing
- Ability to navigate the pricing register lab
- Understanding of customer engagement point process
- Understands organization’s core business process and operations across departments
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and work with people from merchandising, marketing, and loyalty marketing
Associate’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
ExperienceThree years of related experience.
