The Category Manager will be responsible for driving sales and profitability within a specific product category by developing and implementing effective strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage product assortment, including selection, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and promotional support.
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to develop promotional plans and campaigns.
• Monitor category performance and KPIs, and make data‑driven recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct regular competitive analysis to ensure competitiveness in the market.
• Work cross‑functionally with operations, finance, and other departments to achieve category objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on category performance and initiatives.

Hiring pay range: $81,386.

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role in retail or wholesale.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of retail math and financial concepts.
• Experience with category management software is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.

Experience: 5 years related experience

Education: 4 year/Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience/training in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. Masters Degree preferred

Other Requirements: Up to 20% travel
