Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Critical Need)
Job Type: Travel/Contract Nursing

Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Duration: 13 Weeks (Approx.)
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have recent labor and delivery experience and be comfortable managing both routine and high-risk obstetric patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
. - Monitor maternal and fetal well‑being
, including interpretation of fetal monitoring strips. - Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures
. - Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families throughout the labor process.
- Identify and respond to obstetric emergencies and complications
. - Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with neonatal and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
. - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience within the last 3 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- AWHONN certification
.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
- 5+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
. - High-risk obstetrics experience within the last two years.
- Experience managing complex maternal and neonatal cases in a high‑acuity environment.
- Acute care hospital setting.
- High‑volume Labor & Delivery unit.
- Collaborative team environment including physicians, midwives, neonatologists, and support staff.
