Position: Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care - PART or FULL time

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a for-profit Healthcare organization that is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and caring RN Nurse Practitioners (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care
. The company provides Nurse-Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in the Modesto, CA area (the facilities are clustered in the area) to work with the facility's nursing teams to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner will lead a Wound Prevention Program in the facility responsible for screening new admissions, assessments and risks and implementing precautionary measures. The N-P will be supporting 3 facilities (clustered geographically) and will be about 3-4 days of work.

The position can be part-time or full-time. The schedules have some flexibility. The company provides a high level of support (ongoing Physician collaboration) and dedicated Scribes for documentation.

The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions, and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols.

A benefit and PTO package is included and multiple bonuses for additional services (i.e., Debrivements, Skin Graphs, etc.).

Requirements:
  • Current CA State RN license
  • CA Licensed Nurse Practitioner
  • Wound Care certifications a big plus (WOCN, WCC, CWS)
  • At least 2+ years’ experience in the care and treatment of wounds
  • In-depth understanding of Wound Care protocols and treatments
  • Ability to train Nursing teams on policies and protocols for the prevention and care of wounds
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Homes a plus but not mandatory
  • Basic Computer skills and experience with EMR software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with Nursing teams
