Provide nursing care in a busy outpatient Infusion Center, including assessment, coordination, direct patient care, education, and transitions of care. Must be experienced in both oncology and non‑oncology infusion therapies. Deliver holistic, individualized care considering physical, psychological, cultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Maintain collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare teams. Adhere to hospital policies, best practices, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and high‑quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and non‑oncology infusions.
• Manage ports, PICC lines, and central line care, including draws and flushes.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy, IV insertions, and port access with peripheral ultrasound.
• Monitor and respond to oncologic emergencies (e.g., ATLS, anaphylaxis, sepsis, spinal cord compression).
• Recognize and communicate abnormal labs and treatment side effects.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment and symptom management.
• Document patient care accurately using EMR (Epic preferred).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, IV services, and support staff.

• Experience Minimum 2 years Infusion/Oncology experience – Required;
  Travel experience – Required
• Certifications BLS (AHA/ARC) – Required;
  Chemo/Immunotherapy Provider (ONS/ONCC) – Required; ACLS (Preferred); OCN (Preferred)
• License Active California RN License – Required
• Skills IV therapy, biotherapy, chemotherapy, blood product administration, central line management, oncologic emergencies, patient/family education
• EMR Epic (Preferred)
• Patient Ratios 1:8–1:9
• Patient Population Oncology, rheumatology, allergy, GI, pregnancy, infectious disease
• Daily Census ~55 visits/day, 27 rooms
• Weekend Requirement Every other weekend (4–8 weekend shifts per month)
• Compliance Nursys report (within 2 weeks), updated certifications, 2 references within past year, lab work within 3–5 days of signing #HCRR
