Packaging Operator- All Shift Relief

The packaging operator is primarily operating labelers, packing equipment and shrink wrap machines and ensure all equipment is operating efficiently. This includes proper labeling of cans, assuring product is packaged in the proper container and that all are sealed properly. Ensures that codes are correct and legible and, if applicable, the case or package is wrapped securely. Maintains record, including overtime, as required.

Employees shall follow all the plant safety and quality rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately and maintain compliance with regulations.

• Responsible for keeping labelers, case packer and shrink wrap machines in proper operating condition. This may include changing knives, label clips, shrink wrap rolls and other frequently replaced items.
• Monitor all equipment to assure correct operation and cleanliness.
• Periodically record downtime information.
• Responsible for moving supplies to run equipment with the use of forklift.
• Observe Plant’s Safety, GMP and Plant Rules.
• Maintain safe, clean and orderly work area.
• Must be able to work with fellow employees and management in a professional manner.
• Perform SAP transactions as necessary.
• Must have a basic understanding of computers in order to operate equipment and to perform SAP transactions.

Employee must come to work promptly and regularly, work under the supervision of others, at times under stressful conditions, work within deadlines, and be able to work professionally with others at all times and in all situations.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $24.68. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
