Operator Depalletizer- All Shift Relief

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Operates can Depalletizer and maintains a constant supply of cans to the Fillers. Receive and store cans and ends and assure that stock is rotated on a first in first out basis. Keep records as required for can tracking purposes, store and return used pallets of dunnage to the supplier as well as keeping the work area clean.

Employees shall follow all plant safety and quality rules, report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately and maintain compliance with regulations.

The following represent some of the essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operates Depalletizer machine to ensure efficiency.
• Responsible for receiving incoming cans and ends meeting Nestlé quality standards.
• Responsible for unloading pallets of cans from the delivery truck using a forklift.
• Perform sensory test for each silo.
• Bands empty pallets, chip boards and pallet caps to be recycled to the can factory.
• Troubleshoot jammed cans and equipment in the Depalletizer area.
• Maintain record keeping as required by Nestlé Quality Standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Must be able to work with fellow employees and management in a professional manner.
• Maintain and complete forklift safety log.
• Must have a basic understanding of computers in order to operate equipment and to perform SAP transactions.

General Expectations: Employee must come to work promptly and regularly, work under the supervision of others, at times under stressful conditions, work within deadlines, and be able to work professionally with others at all times and in all situations.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $24.68. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
