Essential Job Functions

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, GMPs and wear required PPE in the warehouse or production areas (including hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, safety gloves, and seatbelts when operating forklifts).
  • Adhere to food quality and food safety standards as provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (e.g., SQF).
  • Comply with FDA, state/city regulations, Refresco quality policies, GMPs, HACCP, Allergen, Kosher, and other applicable regulations.
  • Be qualified in the operation of all batching/blending equipment in the assigned area.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of products on the lines according to specifications to satisfy customers.
  • Transport required ingredients and pre-weighs by forklift to and from designated areas.
  • Verify all ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before syrup batching.
  • Follow instructions on batching/blending sheets, add proper ingredients, and record amounts accurately.
  • Obtain blend tank samples accurately and deliver to the quality laboratory for testing; implement batching/blending adjustments per quality department guidance to meet specifications.
  • Complete all required documentation for batching/blending operations and forward to QA/Batching for review.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift.
  • Responsible for CIP/COP sanitation of all batching/blending lines, tanks and equipment as scheduled.
  • Operate plant water filtration systems effectively.
  • Remove empty barrels and bins from batching area to designated storage area and/or trailers.
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules.
  • Receive and unload deliveries of bulk concentrates as needed.
  • Report all non-compliance, product protection, food safety, and personal safety issues to management when encountered.
  • Understand BOD process and assist in BOD of batches.
  • May assist in training new employees.
Required Skills
  • Experience in a fast-moving packaged goods environment; beverage production experience required.
  • Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene, etc. required.
  • Able to routinely lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform duties under high stress/pressure; strong math skills for measurements and formulas.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English.
  • Solid understanding of production schedules and laboratory testing.
  • Understand quality improvement, increase efficiencies, improve yields, and eliminate out-of-spec or damaged product.
  • Process monitoring: ability to monitor and adjust processes to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Clear and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Basic computer skills for operating production software and data logging.
  • Cognitive ability to analyze data and parameters to optimize production.
  • Safety and risk management; participate in safety audits and inspections.
  • Troubleshooting: ability to troubleshoot basic batch or mechanical issues.
  • Attention to detail; forklift certification obtained/maintained.
Education and Experience
  • High School Certification
  • 2-3 years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule:

    Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings, overnight and holidays may be required. Overtime as needed.
  • Work Environment:
    Fast-paced production plant with moving parts; noise requires hearing protection; temperatures can be hot or cold; laboratory and staging areas are temperature controlled. Structure and supervision are in place.
