Join our team as the General Manager for Honda Kawasaki KTM of Modesto. This high‑level position offers a competitive salary range of $200,000–$250,000 per year and the opportunity to lead a dynamic powersports dealership.
Position SummaryThe General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall success of the dealership, overseeing sales, service, parts, accessories, and customer satisfaction while ensuring operational efficiency and a premium customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Sales & Revenue Management – oversee all sales operations, set goals, implement strategies, and manage inventory levels.
- Inventory & Product Management – coordinate vehicle ordering and merchandising to maintain the right mix of models and features.
- Financial Oversight – manage profitability, budget, and key financial metrics.
- Team Leadership & Development – lead departmental managers (Sales, Service, Parts, F&I, Marketing), coach staff, and build a strong team culture.
- Customer Experience Management – ensure superior service, handle escalated issues, and promote loyalty programs.
- Service Department Oversight – improve productivity, track performance metrics, and expand service revenue.
- Parts & Accessories Operations – manage inventory, vendor relationships, and add‑on sales.
- Finance & Insurance Compliance – maximize F&I profitability and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Marketing & Community Engagement – direct campaigns, manage events, and protect online reputation.
- Unit sales (new & pre‑owned)

- 5+ years dealership management experience, preferably in powersports or automotive.
- Deep industry knowledge of motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and related products.
- Proven success in sales leadership and financial management.
- Strong team‑building and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with DMS platforms such as Lightspeed.
- Familiarity with F&I regulations and best practices.
- Passion for the motorsports lifestyle.
- Transparent and effective communication.
- Proactive, hands‑on leadership style.
- Adaptability to seasonal and market fluctuations.
- Strong relationships with OEM representatives and vendors.
- Willingness to take additional duties as needed.
- Managing seasonal peaks and slowdowns.
- Navigating OEM requirements and inventory management.
- Attracting and retaining skilled technicians.
- Responding to evolving consumer trends (e.g., electric vehicles, e‑motorcycles).
Physical Demands: The role requires standing/walking for long periods, using hands and fingers, stooping, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Specific visual requirements include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Noise levels are typically moderate in a controlled environment.
