Overview
Reporting to the Associate Administrator, the Trauma Program Manager assists in the promotion of optimal care within Doctors Medical Center. Demonstrates professional competency in the nursing process, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the care of critically injured patients. Responsible for day-to-day operations of the trauma services, actively participates in staffing, budgeting, planning, leadership and quality improvement of the department.

- Clinical practice and care of trauma patients
- Record maintenance of the trauma registry and its Quality Improvement reports
- Develop educational programs for all personnel involved in trauma care (prevention and all phases of care)
- Monitor patients clinical progress during hospitalization
- Manage day-to-day operations of the trauma services
- Participate in staffing, budgeting, planning, leadership and quality improvement of the department
- Minimum Education: BSN preferred
- Minimum Experience/
Skills:
Three to five years Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred - License/Certificates/Credentials: Current California RN license; BLS; ACLS; PALS; ENPC within 6 months of hire; TNCC within 6 months of hire (Instructor preferred)
- Experience in Trauma Program Management: Experience in trauma registry and quality improvement reporting; experience in trauma education and training programs; experience working with interdisciplinary clinical teams; experience with budgeting/staffing in a hospital setting; experience with state or national trauma designation compliance
- Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting
- Lift/position up to 25 lbs
- Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force
- Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility; ability to move quickly
Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities
Working Conditions- Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
- Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
- Emergency and crisis situations
- Subject to irregular hours
- Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
- Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances, and biohazards
