Job DescriptionPay Range: $18.00-$20.00 (depending on experience)
Schedule:
Full Time, 10 PM - 6 AM, Friday - Monday
- Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care is being given to residents
- Assist residents in their daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene (including shaving, hair care, etc.), meals, activities, bowel and bladder functions
- Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentiality (50%)
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, activities, and continence care (20%)
- Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, eating, and clearing
- Transport residents as necessary and assist with transfers and escorts to meals/activities
- Perform regular safety checks on residents
- Encourage residents to participate in daily activities and meaningful life-enriching activities
- Clean, complete laundry, and assist with other community duties as required
- Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per MD orders
- Chart and document appropriate information and communicate any observed changes to a supervisor
- Respond promptly to resident alerts and emergencies
- Ensure resident safety and comfort and assist in safety drills
Job Duties
- Always display a positive and professional image through actions and dress
- Encourage teamwork and open communication with colleagues
- Demonstrate effective time management to complete resident assignments daily per shift
- Display tact and friendliness with residents, families, and guests
- Adhere to MBK policies on meal breaks and rest periods
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors and Executive Director
- Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nurses Aid certification preferred
- Current first aid certification
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results
- Prior caregiving experience preferred but on-the-job training is available
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds
- Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements
- Must be mobile and able to perform the physical tasks of the role including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and bending
- Must be able to lift 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds unassisted
