We are looking for a Plant Engineer for our Modesto, CA Plant!

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Plant Engineer to lead projects to implement new products, processes, and materials into the production phase to improve cost competitiveness and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Essential Duties
  • Analyzes & improves manufacturing process flows continually to enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase throughput.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Creates, understands, and interprets engineering drawings, process specifications, and design intents. Understands and interprets 3D models and geometric tolerances.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Develops mechanical design and drafting of products, production jigs, and machinery.
  • Performs cost studies to determine the lowest cost of manufacturing and coordinates the implementation of these changes.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Provides engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Develops best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Supports company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Develops, configures, and optimizes industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification.
  • Performs process simulations.
  • Performs risk assessments.
  • Provides process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Follows the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
  • Follows compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a high‑paced continuous manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Proficient in CAD and Solid Works software.
Other Skills and Requirements
  • Proven working experience in process engineering.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Knowledge of process‑related standards.
  • Experience in process simulations.
