Job SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Disabilities Supervisor, assist certificated and classified staff in providing and reinforcing instruction to individual students with challenging behavior, communicative deficits, or other disabilities such as those characteristics associated with but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. This may also be accomplished by participating in learning activities with groups of children without disabilities.
Requirements / QualificationsEd‑Join Application:
Valid California Associate Teacher Child Development Permit or above.
Education & Experience:
• Graduation from high school.
• At least two (2) years experience working with students with Autism or other behavior and/or communication and/or social deficits.
• College coursework or equivalent training hours in social skills, Applied Behavior Analysis, and direct instruction is desirable.
Additional documents (required prior to employment but not at the time of application):
Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance, Pre‑Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance and Mandated Reporter Training.
