Placement on the Yosemite Community College District salary schedule dependent upon education and experience.  Salary Schedule – $75,979 to $141,835 per year or $89,533 to $145,028 with an earned doctorate. New personnel limited to a maximum tenth step initial placement based on previous experience – maximum equals $117,949 or $121,140 with an earned doctorate.

The District currently pays for a health options for the employee and dependents. Employees may elect to pay a premium for a higher health option. Vision care and dental insurance premiums for the employee and dependents is District paid. Income protection and life insurance premiums for the employee are also District paid. The estimated cost of District provided benefits (health, dental, vision, and life) is $24,408 annually.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in mathematics or applied mathematics OR Bachelor’s degree in either of the above AND Master’s in statistics, physics, or mathematics education OR the equivalent.

• Teaching lower division college courses in mathematics
• Advancing equitable student learning through dedicated, exemplary instruction in accordance with established course outlines.
• Develop, maintain and update course outlines, Student Learning Outcomes, Program Reviews and Unit Plans.
• Participate effectively in shared governance, including serving on standing committees.
• Informing students of course requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements.
• Preparing and grading class assignments and examinations and informing students of their academic progress.
