Salary Range / Other
Hourly Range: $78.15 to $124.94  Certified Part-time Instructor/Overload Hourly Salary Schedule). Doctorate Range: $92.09 to $128.22.
Part Time Faculty office hours are paid at a flat rate of $30 per hour.

Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in humanities OR the equivalent.

“Masters in fine arts” as used here refers to any master’s degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the “Master of Fine Arts” (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing or other non-plastic arts.)

• Mobility: ability to sit or stand for long periods, move about an office, and reach above and below desk level.
• Dexterity: fine manipulation sufficient to operate a keyboard, handle individual papers, write and take notes.

• Education and/or experience in teaching in a variety of Art courses, with emphasis on ceramics, design, drawing, painting, sculpture, the appreciation of art at the community college level.
• Current knowledge of the Art discipline as well as emerging trends, research, and pedagogy.
• Current understanding of assessment processes for improving student success at the course, program, and degree level.
