Placement on the Yosemite Community College District salary schedule dependent upon education and experience. Salary Schedule – $78,152 to $145,887 per year or $91,999 to $149,080 with an earned doctorate. New personnel limited to a maximum tenth step initial placement based on previous experience – maximum equals $121,318 or $124,511 with an earned doctorate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development (
Note:
A license as a Marriage, Family, and Child Counselor is an alternative qualification for this discipline, pursuant to Title 5 Section 53410.1) OR possess a California Community College Counselor credential appropriate to the subject OR the equivalent.
- Have completed a minimum of nine semester units of college course work predominantly relating to ethnic minorities or persons handicapped by language, social or economic disadvantages or
- Six semester units or equivalent of a college-level counseling practicum or counseling field work courses in a community college EOPS program, or in a program dealing predominantly with ethnic minorities or persons handicapped by language, social or economic disadvantages
- In addition, have two years of occupational experience in work relating to ethnic minorities or persons handicapped by language, social or economic disadvantages.

Job Description SummaryGENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All full-time faculty are expected to participate actively in their disciplines, department activities, and the general intellectual life and governance of the college. Part of the teaching assignment may be online, in the evening, and/or on Saturdays. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles and practices of higher education organization and structure; institutional policies that govern admissions and registration; data management computer software.
- Duties include academic, career, and personal counseling.
- Develop, implement, and maintain innovative program support services, and in compliance with Title 5, for EOPS/CARE/NextUP and other special populations, in areas such as outreach, recruitment, orientation, assessment, counseling, advisement, and financial aid.
