Salary Range / OtherPlacement on the Yosemite Community College District salary schedule dependent upon education and experience. Salary Schedule – $75,979 to $141,835 per year or $89,533 to $145,028 with an earned doctorate. New personnel limited to a maximum tenth step initial placement based on previous experience – maximum equals $117,949 or $121,140 with an earned doctorate.
BenefitsThe District currently pays for health options for the employee and dependents. Employees may elect to pay a premium for a higher health option. Vision care and dental insurance premiums for the employee and dependents are district paid. Income protection and life insurance premiums for the employee are also district paid. The estimated cost of district provided benefits (health, dental, vision, and life) is $24,408 annually.
RequiredQuals Summary
- Must meet minimum qualifications to teach both Business and Accounting.
- Master’s in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration OR bachelor’s in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND master’s in business, business administration, business education, economics, finance or the equivalent.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
All full-time faculty are expected to participate actively in their disciplines, department activities, and the general intellectual life and governance of the college. Part of the teaching assignment may be online, in the evening, and/or on Saturdays. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teaching lower division college courses in Accounting and Business. Courses may include Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Tax Accounting, Payroll Accounting, Bookkeeping, Personal Finance, Introduction to Business, Business Communication, Entrepreneurship, and Principles of Management.
- Curriculum and program development and updates
- Engaging in department meetings and initiatives relating to program improvement and service to students
- Participate in Business Club activities through support and mentoring
- Advancing equitable student learning through dedicated, exemplary instruction in accordance with established course outlines.
- Informing students of course requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements.
- Preparing and grading class assignments and examinations and informing students of their academic progress.
- Maintaining attendance, scholastic, and other records and submitting them according to published policies and deadlines.
- Attending department, school, and college-wide meetings on a regular basis.
- Posting and holding sufficient and regular office hours in accordance with prevailing policy.
- Developing, implementing, and assessing student-learning outcomes for courses and programs and using the results for improvement.
- Engaging in data inquiry and self-assessment to develop strategies for student success, persistence, and equity.
