Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education (PK-12) - Recruitment Pool May be Hiring Incentive Eligible (2025/2026 School Year)
Join Modesto City Schools as an Instructional Paraprofessional, Special Education (PK-12) in the Recruitment Pool. This role is eligible for a hiring incentive for the 2025‑2026 school year.
Qualifications- Experience working with school‑age students.
- High School Diploma, GED, or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate.
- Completion of forty‑eight (48) units of higher education study or an Associate’s (AA) degree, or successful passing of the Modesto City Schools Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment Exam.
- Relevant experience in instructional paraprofessional roles for special education (PK‑12) with mild‑moderate, extensive support needs, or autism as specified.
- District‑approved Restraint Certificate obtained within six (6) months of employment and renewed as required.
- Completion of 20 hours of autism in‑service training with successful unit test scores of at least 80% within the first three (3) months of hire (for autism positions).
- $1,000 incentive bonus for positions with extensive support needs.
- $2,000 incentive bonus for positions with extensive support needs and autism.
- Potential additional benefits: 4‑5.99 hours of medical benefit contribution of $9,648 annually; 6‑8 hours of medical benefit contribution of $14,400 annually.
