Position: Customer Service Rep 1

Overview

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for coordinating activities with customers, sales representatives, administration and production to satisfy our customers’ requirements. This individual will also answer telephone inquiries, respond to order inquiries, general customer inquiries, customer complaints and process Customer orders with accuracy meeting or exceeding department goals.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with customers, sales representatives, administration and production to satisfy our customers’ requirements, including measuring (sizing) customers, entering orders, supporting distributors and sales reps, and creating/maintaining call logs. Provide administrative support to the Sales Department.
  • Answer telephones and respond to orders, general customer inquiries, and customer complaints.
  • Assist sales representatives with order status information, expediting orders and troubleshooting information.
  • Communicate directly with customers providing information such as purchase order status and ship dates for open orders.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Facilitate special and rush order requests from sales reps and direct customers; coordinate orders with production.
  • Complete and verify all customer purchase orders.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Language Proficiency:
    All candidates must be fluent in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the Customer Service or related field.
  • Ability to operate word-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Be available to work overtime with minimal notice.
  • Excellent customer service relations skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting for long periods.
  • Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of items weighing up to twenty-five pounds such as files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials.
  • Moving from place to place within the office; minimum reaching for items above and below desk level. Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
