Position Overview:

Job Title: Service Technician
Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager / Workshop Manager
Status: Full-Time | Hourly + Performance Incentives

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to the high standards expected from Mercedes-Benz. This includes everything from routine maintenance to complex repairs while delivering the utmost in safety, efficiency, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify vehicle issues accurately.
• Explain repairs and issues to the service team in a clear, professional manner.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Execute services such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and brake services.
• Stay current with training and certifications (including Mercedes-Benz systems).
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of automotive experience or completion of auto tech training.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• ASE certifications preferred;
  Mercedes-Benz certification a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Experience with automotive software systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, Google Workspace) is beneficial.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and use hands frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and loud noises.
• Work includes both indoor and occasional outdoor environments.
