About the Role
The Business Manager (BM) has the goal to develop his own Business Unit (BU): a team of specialized engineers, which provides high‑tech consulting services to the clients, developing its growth, supporting it and making it profitable. The BM reports directly to the Industry Manager Automotive and is responsible for all commercial activities of the BU, developing relationships with the main players in the sector and ensuring customer satisfaction for the services provided.
Being the main operational and strategic decision maker, he/she is responsible for the following topics:
Responsibilities
Business strategies and Business development
Defining strategies for the development and selling different solutions includign digital ones within the assigned accounts.
Developing commercial relationships with clients and prospecting.
Managing the entire business life cycle.
Analyzing competitive landscape and digital trends.
Cooperating in the development of strategic and operational marketing for digital offerings.
Diversifying existing services with innovative digital solutions.
Participating in the definition of the annual business planning.
Customer relationship management
Strengthening the position in existing business segments.
Monitoring customer activities, anticipating needs, and winning new projects.
Managing the P&L of the business unit.
Providing advanced P&L analysis, identifying potential issues and developing action plans to optimize revenue and contribution margin.
Billing management;
Managing the cash‑in process.
Human resources management and recruitment
Participating in recruitment activities (sourcing, interviewing, reporting, contract signing, etc.);
Defining and monitoring the career development of the team (role allocation, assessment, key people engagement, etc.);
Managing and balancing the workload of the team.
Qualifications
An Engineering degree is preferred, and an MBA is considered an additional qualification.
Required Skills
Experience gained in an engineering consulting firm is nice to have; experience in digital transformation and automotive sector is a plus.
Strong entrepreneurial spirit, proactivity, outstanding communication skills, natural leadership, team working, empathy.
